How to Copy and Paste on Chromebook

Every computer doesn’t use the same operating system and it’s a bit hard to do things on a different one you’re using before. As windows is the most common OS among the users and that’s the reason many people don’t know how to do the things with other new operating systems. In this article, we are going to tackle problem of Chromebook and letting the users to know how to do a specific copy and pasting job on your new chromebook.

Copy and paste is one of the most demanding work everyone do either for work or while exploring the internet. If you are new to Chromebook OS, Here’s guide on how to copy and paste on Chromebook.

How to Copy and Paste on Chromebook

To perform the copy and paste job on chromebook software, there’s two simple methods to go with.

One is the simplest way is to use keyboard shortcuts. In order to do it through keyboard, it’s quite simple like the Windows operating system. You just need to select specific text or url and can copy by pressing the CTRL + C on the keyboard and can paste it using CTRL + V command.

In some versions of chromebook this might not work and in order to do the copy and paste on such versions, you need to press the CTRL + Shift + C to copy and CTRL + Shift + V to paste. Note: This will paste the copied content in plain format without copying the old format.

Second method is to do it with mouse right click button. Following are the instructions on how to copy paste on Chromebook with mouse.

Select the specific text by holding the left key of mouse and dragging to the required text. Once dragged over all the content to copy, release the mouse key and right click on select content. Instead of using the right click, you can also double tap on the trackpad of laptop and select the copy and paste on the specific workbook.

If you want to copy or paste a photo or video from one web page to other on the internet, you can right click on the picture and select the copy image address and paste it wherever you want to. Also, can select the Save Image As option to store the image on local storage.
